Like all states, Texas has plenty of Fourth of July festivities to kick off the first full month of summer. However, the remainder of the July calender is also chocked full of events for visitors to the Lone Star State.

1. Port Aransas Deep Sea Roundup

Port Aransas' annual Deep Sea Roundup is one of the largest fishing tournaments on the Texas coast and includes fly fishing, surf, offshore and junior divisions. This year's Roundup is set for July 3-6.

2. Luckenbach Family Picnic

Luckenbach will be hosting their annual July 4th Luckenbach Family Picnic on Friday, July 4. This annual event includes live entertainment, games, food and more.

3. The Great Texas Mosquito Festival

Next to barbecue and bulls, Texas is best known for mosquitoes. So, why not celebrate them? That is exactly what they do in Clute during the Great Texas Mosquito Festival. This annual event features a barbecue/fajita cook-off, paintball tournament, karaoke, a Mosquito Chase “Run,” and more. Paying homage to a pest has never been so much fun! This year's Mosquito Fest is set for July 24 - 26

4. Austin's Fireworks & Symphony

The Austin Symphony Orchestra will be performing their annual Fourth of July Fireworks & Symphony at Auditorium Shores.

5. Parker County Peach Festival

Featuring over 200 arts, crafts, food, and activity vendors, the Parker County Peach Festival offers something for everyone. The event also features a special children's area with face painters, a petting zoo, pony rides and more.

6. Sweet Home Polka & Chicken Festival

Located on Highway 77 between Yoakum and Hallettsville, tiny Sweet Home is best known for their annual Sweet Home Polka and Chicken Fest, which features live music - polka, of course - barbecue chicken and plenty of fun. This year's festival is set for July 13.

7. TAAF Games of Texas

An Olympic-style even, the TAAF Games of Texas include archery, badminton, baseball, bowling, boxing, disc golf, fencing, golf, gymnastics, lifeguard competition, racquetball, sand volleyball, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and wiffleball.

8. The Goatneck 100k

Attracting over 1,500 riders each year, Cleburne's Goatneck 100K Bike Race has been named as one of the 100 best bike races in America. The event also ofers rides of 10 and 25 miles for those not quite ready for the full course. This year's race will be held July 26.
